FAQ For all your questions

Pricing for tattoos can vary greatly based on several factors. Each of our artists determines their own pricing based on factors such as size, placement, detail, and complexity of the chosen design. Larger projects may be charged at a flat rate for the day, per piece, or at an hourly rate. It's always recommended to inquire with your chosen artist in advance to get a better understanding of the pricing structure. To facilitate this, we encourage you to book an in-shop consultation, where you can discuss your tattoo needs, ideas, and design with the artist. This will allow them to provide you with a price quote. For smaller tattoos that may not require a consultation, we still recommend reaching out to an artist for an approximate price range. Please note that final pricing can only be determined after speaking directly with the artist.
To initiate the pricing discussion, please provide any reference images, sizing in centimeters, and placement details. Our receptionists cannot confirm pricing as it is solely the artist's decision. However, we are more than happy to guide you to the appropriate artist who can address any inquiries you may have. Additionally, you are always welcome to visit our shop in person as we accommodate walk-ins daily. Please keep in mind that prices are subject to change if any details, placement, or sizing are altered.

While we strive to provide the best value for our customers, our pricing is carefully set to reflect the expertise and quality of our artist's work. Each client will be charged separately as a single customer. Each tattoo requires a separate set up and a new set of materials used and will be charged accordingly.

For larger projects, appointments and consultations are necessary to ensure a thorough discussion and personalised design creation process. To initiate this process, you can conveniently fill out a request form on our website, and we will promptly get in touch with you. However, we warmly welcome walk-ins for smaller projects that don't require extensive design preparation, available 7 days a week. Please note that not all of our artists accommodate walk-ins, as we have dedicated artists specifically assigned for this purpose. Walk-in clients will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that no artists are immediately available upon your arrival, there may be a short wait time. Feel free to call us ahead of time to inquire about our current availability for the day. It’s important to keep in mind that not all tattoo requests can be accommodated as walk-ins. We are more than happy to assess your request and provide appropriate guidance and recommendations.

Yes. All appointments require a deposit. Deposits are taken to ensure your punctual presence on the day of your appointment. Please be aware that deposits are non-refundable. The amount of the deposit will vary depending on your project and your artist. If you change your mind, fail to show up or fail to show up on time, your deposit will be lost. You may reschedule your appointment if you have given us 10 days notice prior to your appointment.

All drawings are shown the day of the appointment. Therefore please make sure when contacting an artist or when choosing to move forward with a specific artist that you are well aware of their styles. Proper communication is key. Please give as much details as you can to make sure you are both on the same page. We ensure to allot enough time in each appointment to go over any questions or changes. Whether the changes are major or minor, we wont start tattooing until you are 100% happy with the design.

No. For many healthy and safety reasons, animals are strictly not allowed in our shop.

Unfortunately we don't have a designated parking lot. We are in the middle of the Old port of Montreal and we acknowledge parking may be difficult. We recommend the parking lot right in front of our shop at the science centre where you can pay a daily fee and know that your car is in a safe location without risks of getting a parking ticket. Please consider time to find a parking spot if you will be coming by car.

Being well rested, well-fed and of sound mind and body is super important when getting a tattoo. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes, bringing a pillow for your comfort as well as snacks or a meal along with water. We have a microwave and a fridge that you may use should you need one. You can also bring headphones to listen or watch something on your phone if you would like. For winter time in Montreal, the floors can get very wet in the shop therefore we ask our clients to remove their shoes before entering the main part of the shop. You may bring a second pair of shoes or feel free to take one of our slippers. Please see our “How to prepare for a tattoo session” section for more details.

Checking with your doctor before coming in would be suggested if you are known to have allergic reactions. Some clients show allergic reactions to coloured ink and/or black ink; asking the artist the brands of inks being used to check ingredients before coming in would also be suggested. Always let your artist know if you have any medical concerns.

We do not tattoo minors at our shop regardless of parental consent. Our shop policy is strictly 18 years of age and older. Oly Anger Tattoo requires all clients to present proper identification upon arrival. We also require our clients to fill out a mandatory consent form before starting a tattoo session for health and safety reasons.

To ensure a pleasant experience for all customers our shop is strictly 18 years of age and older and that goes for any children or infants accompanying adults getting tattooed. We kindly request that strollers not be brought into the shop. We choose to go this route to avoid any potential health risks that children may be exposed to. We also need to make sure the artists are able to concentrate properly to perform at their best potential. Thank you for understanding.

We unfortunately don't do piercings at our shop. Only tattoos.
-
We do not. We only do tattoos that last forever.

To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to consult with your tattoo artist in advance if you plan to bring a guest. Please note that our shop space is limited, and we may need to restrict the presence of additional individuals during your session. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding this policy.
